Landscaping Jobs • Chicago’s North Shore & Chicagoland
Where Landscaping Jobs Become Twenty-Year Careers
Our mission statement does not mention landscapes. It reads:
to fulfill the dreams of our employees.
That is not a plaque in a break room, it is how a second-generation family company makes decisions. Several of the people running our crews started here as teenagers on summer schedules, and a client recently recognized one of them as the eighteen-year-old who had worked on their property twenty years earlier.
Come for the Work, Stay for the People
The work is serious. Landscape construction jobs, lawn care and horticulture roles, design, and field leadership, all done to a standard that keeps winning industry awards.
The company itself has always run like a family, because it is one. Owners who still pick up a shovel, training and advancement that run on a schedule through our V.A.S.T. development program, and a team where nobody eats lunch alone.

Who We’re Looking For
People with heart, artistry, tenacity, and the instinct to do the right thing when no one is watching. Experience in lawn care jobs, construction, or horticulture helps. Character decides.

What to Know Before Joining ILT Vignocchi
-
Year-round for most of our team. Snow and ice management keeps crews working through the winter rather than laid off in November, which is unusual in this industry and one of the main reasons people stay with us.
-
Not for every role. We hire people into crew positions and train them, and several of the leaders running our installations today started with no landscape experience at all. Experience in construction, horticulture, or equipment operation is welcome, but character and reliability decide more hires than a résumé does.
-
Training happens on the clock and on a schedule through our V.A.S.T. development program. Advancement here is genuine rather than theoretical: we develop leaders at every level instead of hiring them in over the people already doing the work.
-
Landscape work follows daylight and weather, so days run long in the growing season and shift with the forecast. Our deliberately tight service area means less of that day is spent driving, which is a bigger difference than it sounds.
