How Outdoor Kitchen Installation Should Start as a Design Project, Not an Appliance Purchase
The homeowner picks the grill. Picks the refrigerator. Picks the countertop from a sample book. And then asks the contractor to build an island that fits everything they selected. The kitchen gets built. It looks fine. And within a year, the homeowner realizes the counter is too short for prep, the sink should have been on the other side, and the cook faces the fence instead of the gathering area.
That is what happens when outdoor kitchen installation starts with the appliances instead of the design. The grill is a component. The kitchen is a system. And the system, the layout, the workflow, the utilities, the orientation, the integration with the rest of the outdoor space, needs to be designed before a single product is ordered.
